Amazing things will happen with a bit of care and patience! It starts with people. A word to our growers at the start of the season sees certified organic trees in the Hawke’s Bay set aside for this Eau de Vie. The perfect apple on one of these trees is not the most symmetrical, the one without a single mark, or one that is picked half ripe, it is the tastiest and juiciest one. Each apple on one of these trees is given the chance to be all it can be, and will not be picked until peak ripeness. Every one of these gifts of nature arrives at the Distillery ready to have its essence captured and bottled.

Tasting notes: Clear, pure, ripe Braeburn Apple nose. A slightly spicy, round entry leads to a wonderfully complex, vibrant and full finish. A sumptuous after-dinner drink – embodying the spirit of an iconic New Zealand apple.

As you’d expect from Distillerie Deinlein, we demand exacting standards of all our spirits, but our Eau de Vie perhaps represents the pinnacle of the distillers’ art. The sublime combination of powerful, long lasting flavours and fresh delicate top notes is achieved with nothing but amazing fruit, care and patience. As with any work of art, Distillerie Deinlein Eau de Vie is a truly limited, limited edition – from each batch only a few bottles pass our exacting quality standards. We label them accordingly, tracing each bottle number by hand, so that you can have the utmost confidence in their quality by the time you sit back to enjoy them.

We wouldn’t expect you to cut corners, and you’ll not see us doing so with our super premium Eau de Vie.
