Cocktail Merchant started in Queenstown in 2005. The online store brings premium liquor at wholesale prices to hundreds of businesses across New Zealand and overseas. It also sells cocktail supplies – including spirits and equipment – to the Hospitality Trade at competitive wholesale prices.

While the former owners were growing the business, Marc Meder was crafting homebrew and supplying independent hotels and taverns with beer. He was also running his distillery in the Bay of Plenty, Latitude 37 Distilling, which crafts spirits for bars and restaurants, as well as its own brand.

In 2021, Marc took over Cocktail Merchant with his family and added his own distilled drinks into the mix. He plans to expand the range available to the licensed venue owners, by introducing a range of products from New Zealand’s Artisan Breweries, Distilleries and Soft Drink Companies.
