The Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak is a highland single malt whisky from Speyside, Scotland that has won countless international accoldaes including being described by Paul Pacult as ‘simply the best 12 Year Old single malt around’.

Distilled by hand from the 390 acre Macallan Estate that dates back to 1700, The Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak Single Malt Whisky uses fourteen small copper stills that provide a rich & fruity full-bodies spirit.

It is then aged in new sherry seasoned oak casks from Spain, the most expensive type of casks used in the Scottish whisky industry.

Tasting notes: Rich gold in colour, vanilla with a ginger hint with sherry sweetness and wood smoke on the nose. On the palate rich dried fruits with a sherry balance and wood smoke with spice. Smooth finish of sweet toffee with wood smoke and spice.

The Macallan 12YO Cocktail recipe: Blood and Sand
> 30ml The Macallan 12 Year Old Sheery Oak
> 30ml Sweet vermouth
> 30ml Cherry brandy liqueur
> 30ml Freshly squeezed orange juice.

Assemble ingredients into an ice-filled shaker and shake well for 10 seconds. Double strain over a chilled martini or coupe glass. Garnish with a fresh cherry.
