From it’s base at the Demerara Distillery on Gayana in the Caribbean, El Dorado Rum’s are crafted using the last two original wooden pot stills in the world that are over 250 years old and an original 18th century French Savalle still.

El Dorado Golden 5 Year Old rum is a blend of two rums using the above stills producing a rum that is exceptionally versatile. It can be enjoyed straight, on the rocks or for creating premium cocktails.

Tasting notes:

Lively with a dried tropical fruit nose with aromas of caramel, butterscotch and molasses. A vibrant spicy entry leads to an evolving palate of fruit, caramel and toasted coconut, fading to a vanilla-tinted glow.

Cocktail recipe: El Dorado Mai Tai

> 50ml El Dorado 5 Year Old
> 25ml Fresh lime juice
> 12.5ml Orgeat (almond syrup)
> 12.5ml Velvet falernum
> 12.5ml Orange curacao (Pierre Ferrand)
> Bitters

Assemble all ingredients except for the bitters in an ice filled boston shaker. Shake well and double strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Add a dash of bitters to the top and garnish with a mint leaf and an orange slice.

    If there are signs the box is damaged upon delivery, please make a note on the courier’s signature forms. If your items inside are damaged in any way, please keep them and contact us immediately and we will talk you through the process of returning the goods so we can replace them.
